The Snow Queen
Saturday February 8, 2025
Premiering in 2022, The Snow Queen is an exciting tale about friendship with music, dancing, and costumes. Grades K-2 participate in class dances, while grades 3-5 can volunteer to be dancers or backstage crew.
The Snow Queen is the story of a girl named Gerta and her friend, Kai. Kai is captured by a Snow Queen and Gerta must rescue him. She travels throughout the four seasons and meets many friends along the way: Snowbees, Flowers, Ravens, Wolves, Snowflakes, Reindeer and Icicle Guards. Our themes are friendship, perseverance, and finding joy throughout the changing seasons.
WE NEED YOUR HELP!
It takes over 100 volunteer parents, alumni, and friends of Strandwood to put on this annual school-wide production enabling every student the opportunity to experience the performing arts first-hand. Support our little stars through one of the many volunteer roles below!
